  • He was raised in Mexico.
  • In late 1968, Álex formed the band Three Souls in My Mind along with musicians Carlos Hauptvogel and Guillermo Berea. However, due to disagreements, there was a fallout. After that, he went on to create the band, El Tri, that same year. “El Tri” was derived from what fans would call him and his previous band members.
  • Álex always considered English to be the language of rock.
  • In 1984, he released his first studio album titled Simply (El Tri album), and since then has gone on to release more than a dozen other albums that include When you’re not there (1997), Lora, her lyre and her songs (1999), Don’t Forget About The Band (2002), Alex Lora: Slave of Rock and Roll (2003), Beyond Good and Evil (2005), A talonear (2007), Nothing to lose (2008), An Eye for an Eye (2013), We were born to roll and we are worth mothers !!!
